Musician and producer Mark Ronson has teamed up with Frida Giannini, the creative director of Gucci, to launch a new trainer collection. The Gucci Ronson collection features a stunning array of 17 exclusive styles, of which 15 are for men and two are for the ladies. Giannini speaks of the collaboration greatly: "From the moment Mark and I started talking about this project we connected. He has a great eye for design and an amazing knowledge of sneaker history. He is an artist whose influence is cross-cultural and cross-generational."
The collection will be available at the new London shop on Covent Garden's Earlham Street on Wednesday, April 22nd. Of course, Gucci has to open it up in style. Therefore, a cocktail party is only sufficient...right? Guests will then head over to Ronnie Scotts for a live performance of sensational music. GUCCI!

Japanese fashion designer Tae Ashida has created some pieces that are literally OUT OF THIS WORLD. Designed for Japanese astronaut Naoko Yamazaki, Ashida's blue cardigan and short pants outfit were sent off into space on Monday, April 5th. The US space shuttle Discovery took off on a historic mission, which put more women in orbit than ever before. Ashida says of the experience,
""As a female designer, I chose a design and color with a sense of grace ... so that she can feel at ease as she carries out a tough mission in a male-dominated, bleak atmosphere.
